holding your nub

Ok guys I'm looking for youre opinoins. When your'e smoking a fantastic cigar and you get down to the nub (it's too short to hold with your fingers) what do you use to hold the stogie? I've tried forcepts (the pliers like medical device) but it was too inconvient to use, mashed the tobacco, and reduced the draw. Lately I've jammed a sharpened pick into it and used it like a handle. Whats your favorite way to hold your cigar when your'e burning your fingers?

The new Henry Tools come with a nubber tool.

It looks pretty cool for sure....:tu

I think there have only been maybe 5 cigars I have nubbed that far and I just smoked it like the other stuff in college.

:tu Yea a paper clip rigged up is a good way to smoke things down to the nub ;)

BTW- this could belong in a "how to tell you have a problem" thread lol :ss

Thing wood/bambo skewers work too. I bet a corn cob holder would work now that I think of it.

This could be a "you ahve a problem thread".

For second I thought you were asking some REAL personal questions there. ;)

Red Skelton did the ole toothpick thing, but I've never tried it. I usually will let it go when it reaches about an inch in length, but one of those cigar holders/tips may just be the thing to have... A few months back there was a thread on using the tips.:ss

Don't all cigars come with little white tips? (j/k) :D

I like the corn cob holder idea...or just use a the tip of a pocket knife (guess it depends what crowd you're hanging with).

Personally I end up nubbing most of my goto cigars because I usually use a cigar mouthpiece. You'd be surprised how short you can smoke 'em with an inexpensive mouthpiece like George Burns used.
