I think the tins are wraped in cello just like cigars so they will breath a little bit. I put my tins in the humi with the cello on unless they have alredy been un-wraped for some reason. Oh no I see another celle vs no cello debate coming up :ss
If the water has added minerals I would refrain from spraying it directly on the beads. The minerals will plug up the pores of the beads. Since the water has been ozonated and is biologically inactive I would try putting it on a new sponge and then put the sponge in the humi and let the beads...
I have been fighting high humidity all summer so I have never added water to my beads but I was planning on puting a wet sponge in the vino this winter to see how that worked for re-humitifying my beads.
It looks like it is a energy recovery ventilation system. It also appear to use a small electric heater on the incoming air to make up for the heat exchanger being less then 100% efficient. I could not find any specs on volume of air moved by the unit but if it moves enough I would say it would...
