Great review. I have had several of these cigars, and I never had the flavor problems you describe, they are one of my favrorite medium bodied cigars.

Padron maduros are one of my favorites. I had my first one about a month ago and it quickly became a go to cigar for me.

Try pipe smoking, it keeps things interesting. I usually smoke either a cigar or a couple bowls of pipe tobacco.

Well, I live in Washington and we can't smoke in any of our cigar stores. I guess I just got used to it, but when I am in Portland I do enjoy being able to smoke inside, at least until 2009

These are one of my absolute favorites, but I have noticed that they burn a bit uneven. Nothing horrible, but I usually have to touch them up with my lighter to keep it from getting out of control.

Partagas black is my favorite cigar, maduro or otherwise. La Gloria Cubana Serie R is really good too.

There is both a cuban RyJ and a NC RyJ. I think the RyJ Habana Reserve is pretty good.
