Guilty pleasure of and evolving Newbie

I've got a management retreat coming up in a few days, and the boss suggested that I bring a selection of cigars for everyone to smoke as part of our celebration of a successful first 3 quarters. Of the 11 attending the retreat, myself & 1 other are the only regular cigar smokers--7 are women...

    Short cigar questions...

:tpd::tpd: Don't rush either the 68 or the Short Story! Would like to add the HdM Sabrosos Maduro to the mix, as well as the Leoninos Corojitos & Fire PC.

Not super premiums, just some good everyday sticks that I like and in a larger vitola that I thought you could smoke while on the road. The Tat's smoking great right now.

    Leathery cigar suggestion?

The RP Vintage & Edge are both good suggestions :tu, although you'll still get some chocolate in those. The H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon is also leathery & sweet, you'll definitely get cedar in it.

HELP!!! poll: vinotemp, humidor or other??? what should i buy next?

Excellent point. It all comes down to your personal expectation for where you'll take this hobby. If you stick with the glasstop, I would suggest a bead tube. I've got a 2oz 65% stick in my 100 count Bally and it takes up the space of maybe 2 churchills, keeps it all about 62-65%. The square...

    Bead Pillow

The one pillow has kept the cooler rock solid for months. Haven't even had to recharge the beads, although I only open the cooler about once or twice a week. Mounting to the top is a good idea--except that the cooler lid can be flipped to double as a drink holder, so that would screw up my...

HELP!!! poll: vinotemp, humidor or other??? what should i buy next?

Your smoking style sounds just about like mine: weekend warrior, sampler smoker, purchase singles/5 packs, etc. I got back into this hobby about a year ago with some tupperware, then a 100 count glasstop humi, and then picked up a mid-sized Coleman cooler right before the summer. So far this...

    You Choose...

I went with Warped because 1) I liked the name, and 2) I've never heard of it, but I like the name, and 3) it might smoke like :BS but I liked the name. Pretty freakin scientific of me, I must say.

I have a new favorite cheap beer.

I still have a fond place in my beer-heart for Hamm's. Haven't looked for it in a long time--don't even know if it's still available. But back in college during the early 80s, you couldn't beat it for $5/case on sale at Kroger :chk
