    Best Carlos Torano cigars?

I've never been disappointed with the Casa Torano.

What's the WORST cigar you've ever had?

In my ignorance as a newbie and with no one to steer me clear, I once made the mistake of smoking a Te-Amo.:pu

    C.A.O. Mx2 Rob Review w. Pictures

Nice review and pics. Overall I would agree is a decent smoke but with the couple I've tried, I also experienced a fairly consistent tight draw almost from the beginning - which tends to detract from my enjoyment.

    Edge Lite

Interesting comments. I was in my B&M not too long ago. Bought a Puros Indios, sat down in the shop and enjoyed it while watching a little basketball. Figured I had time so I went back in for seconds. Of course, the sales guy had to follow me and ask me again if I had any questions. I've...

    Maria Guerrero Toro

Although I've never had the toro, Maria Guerrero IMHO is an all around great smoke. It isn't one of those names that you hear much about but it is well worth a try.

Review: Indian Tabac Ltd Reserve Buffalo

I agree that of the ITs, Super Fuerte is the way to go.

Help - how not to throw up

Interesting - I can't say that I've ever seen a thread dedicated to the subject of vomiting. Some smokes will just inevitably knock you on your rear end. As everyone else recommended, stick with mild, smaller smokes; smoke it sitting down; hold the smoke in your hand when not drawing; don't...

    What's Your Total ???

I probably have only between 80 and 100 on-hand. I used to keep more of an inventory, kept track of what I had, its age, what I'd smoked, etc. but for me it became too much of a hassle. Some people are more compulsive about record keeping and that is fine. For me the enjoyment comes in just...

    Montesino Diplomatico

I probably haven't had one of these in a long time, probably because - if memory serves me correct - I found them to be a bit on the mild side and a fairly straight forward smoke. Nevertheless, for the price and if you are in the mood for a milder smoke I'd recommend them even if they don't...

    Travel Humidor

I have also made myself a tupperdor for travel in the past that worked just fine. You can also find some deals on travel humis at the devil site. I picked up a herf-a-dor there a while ago at well below retail.

C-Bid, My 1st Win, What to Expect

Concerning C-Bid, I've never had a problem with the service - the only problem is spending too much time/$$ looking around and buying stuff. Never having tried this particular smoke before, I can offer no opinion. But unfortunately, you don't always get what you pay for when it comes to...

    San Antonio

Unfortunately I'm not in TX but your mentioning of Taco Cabana just made my mouth water. Living up north, the only "mexican" fast food you'll generally find is taco bell - which I've never eaten and never will. But Taco Cabana is some of the best fast food mexican I've found. Whenever I'm in...

    super peppery question

:tpd: I agree...tastes change over time. I used to be a bit intimidated as a newbie of maduros...I probably had a couple over time that made my head swim as a newbie. But you realize that the wrapper probably wasn't to blame - they were just strong smokes. Over time I've come to enjoy them...

    Ash and humidity

I would agree that all things being equal whether an ash is flakey or sturdy is primarily a function of leaf quality and construction. As it is being smoked, any moisture in the leaf is being burned off.
