    Suggestions to age 9mos?

Oliva is the best bet IMHO. I give them (the O) to novice all the time, and they love it. Then after a while I give them a G, and when I think their ready (have some experience) they get a V. Thats just the friend I am ;) Because YES THE V SERIES WILL MAKE BEGINNERS PUKE!!! Skip on the Cuesta...

    Suggestions to age 9mos?

Oliva O's go down very well with n00bs. Mild yet ok in the taste department, and a good price. Go for the smaller RG for more taste. CC's for the 18 years. Look at a few stronger ones. Brands like Partagas or Montecristo. Or think H.Upmann Sir Winston. Very cool would ofcourse be to get the...

    Smoking stogies and sinuses?

I just load a small water bottle (with sportscap) up with a funnel, grind some sea salt in it and pour some luke warm water in it. Instant DIY nasal wash. Plus sometimes (when its too congested) it allows me to force the water through (squeeze the bottle). To solve the water coming out of the...

    Blazer Z-Plus

I love it! Never run out of fuel, just refill every so-many-days (like a week or maybe 2). Oh, remember to keep it in your pocket if it gets a bit colder. Than it will work ok too, just not if the temp is to low and you left it in the cold.

    I have discovered low humidity!

I know it doesn't sound logical, but it has happened a few times to me. Basically because i am an A$$ I tend to forget that it happened and put a "dry" (65-68%) cigar in a "wet" (72-75%) cabinet. And then it cracks open . Im guessing the reason for this is that the wrapper condenses and...

    I have discovered low humidity!

Sub 70% RH levels can cause dehydration of oils etc. In other words LONG TERM storage should be above 70% RH. Low RH could negatively affect the long term aging process, and cause the slow disappearance of flavours. SHORT TERM storage could be done at a lower RH. A lot of people use a "dry box"...

Anone smoke these cigars recently? recommendations.

For me, if I want a nice flavour full and smooth cigar, i grab the: - Oliva G Double Robusto. Beautifull smoke, full of nuts, leather, cedar, a touch of sweetness, clear tastes yet creamy. And packs enough punch to satisfy, but not overwhelm. It takes a bit over an hour to smoke, and can be a...

    Opus X!?!?

Had a Perfexxion #5, saved it for my graduation as a 'special' cigar for that special day (I thought a cigar, at that petit corona size, priced at $32,- must be really really special). It was about 2 to 2.5 years old, so with some age. The smell was amazing, no really really amazing, the best...

    Cohibas- Real or Fake

I don't fully agree with #2 either. ("the only thing constant about Cubans is their inconsistency" remember) And since their measurements are given in millimeters, there is some deviation possible from the original indication on i.e. the Habanos website. (but often no more than 2mm)

    I lost control again

I too am in a non buying phase :ss That's why i just took over almost 170 cigars from a friends collection, and ordered close to 40 from Taboo :ss That's quite a lot for someone that smokes about 2 sticks a week...
