I personally think you nailed it. I dont know if I would call it graduation.... but more of an ability to appreciate the flavors of a milder cigar. That said If i had a macanudo and a vsg in front of me im going for the vsg 99 out of 100 times.

I learned very painfully that it all depends on the quality of the cigars to begin with. If you start out with a sh*tty cigar to age all you get 5 years later is a sh*tty old cigar
