Yep--this is what I've been told by my local ST Dupont retailer--send it to the Cranston, NJ Colibri repair facility. Although they cautioned that recent repairs have taken as long as 2 months. Guess I'll be getting a Blazer to get me through that time :mad:

I've had my Xtend for three years and narry a problem with it until recently. The thing simply won't light. I click, it sparks briefly, but won't light. Sometimes it won't even spark. It's as if its piezo-electric filament (or whatever) is malfunctioning. Anyone had this experience? Things...

:tpd: Most assuredly. Especially if you live in an abode where the temp gets up over 80 degrees during the day. Also, buy more cooling power and insulation than you think you'll need (i.e. if Bob recommends one cooler, get two; if he recs two, get three or four). I wish I'd bought six...

Nice review, Jose! This is something I've experienced in quite a few clear Havanas--a tendency to overheat, even when I sip them. The only one that didn't was a Rob't Burns Continental, which comes with a tip that sort of encourages sipping. Even then, it got a little sizzle towards the end...

The shiney croc is a bit much, but if it were offered in a nice shrunken shoulder or other bullhide it would be a great case. It would also look great in oil-tan leather, the kind of stuff you see in good western-style saddle bags. That leather takes on a great patina over time as it comes in...

It's been brought up many times in other threads, but since it's not in this one, I'll step up: S.T. Dupont Xtend. *Clean, sophisticated look that's easy on the eyes. I get compliments on it all the time, esp. from the ladies. Its fairly unique lighting bar means that anyone borrowing it...
