General consensus is to put them in the fridge for 12hr or so first.

I would try sanding first as mentioned. It would be easier than a re-build and if it doesn't work your only out a little time.

Personally, I freeze all my cigars no matter the temp. I have had several that I found beetle holes in when I received them and am not willing to take the chance. It's just too easy to freeze them and have one less thing to worry about. :2

It's not always listed in the catalog, at least I haven't seen it in all of them. When I have seen it, it has been listed on the front cover.
