    Suggestions to age 9mos?

Congrats. Not sure what you could get NC-wise that would hold up for 18 years. Nine months is a good NC aging/resting timeframe so really just about anything you get will be at or close to the best it will get.

    Citronella candle

They are only a problem for a couple of weeks each year. Well worth the hassle to be able to enjoy the outdoors more.

    Beads, Hygrometers, Lighters...

Take a blow dryer and dry that humidor back out (on low heat). There is absolutely no good reason to season a 20 count. You run a bigger risk of warping the wood with the way most of them are made. While waiting for the beads put the foam humidifier back in and let it sit empty for 12 hours...

    Cigar Smoking vs. Health Concerns

    Should I or Shouldn't I?

Um, it is SC not CA. You try sitting outside in the high nineties with super high humidity or during the winter.

    Reviving old cigars

I doubt much if any damage was done in the first place. It was only 6 months and they were kept in a humidor so the loss would have been very slow. The humidor was in a basement that was probably high humidity too. I think the people giving you the advice are being over-cautious. If they...

    Working from home

My office is nice enough but like you when I am doing something that doesn't require me to sit at a desk I will go for greener pastures. What is the point of working from home if you can't enjoy a few of the perks? I have been doing it so long it is now an almost foreign concept for me to...

    Working from home

I am not buying it. That is probably where you hang out some but there is not enough leg room and that chair would not be comfortable for an 8 hour day.

    Working from home

I work harder from home than most people do in their office. But I have also been doing it almost exclusively for 14 years. When the work day begins the house changes to an office. This room turns into my office. The pantry where all the servers are located turns into the server room. The...

    Working from home

I think the trend is in the favor of working from home at least 1 day a week. There are some old-fashioned companies that will resist it to the bitter end. My wife's company has gone so far as to start having shared office space so the company benefits as much as the employees. If the gas...

If you were to buy 1 box of cigars.... What do you suggest I buy for my 1st box?

I hope you are married because I'd hate to see a poll or advice needed thread about whether or not you should pop the question. First storage and now on to the first box. If you haven't smoked a cigar that you think is box-worthy yet you aren't ready to buy a box. It really is that easy...

    Working from home

I smoke a pipe while I work because it doesn't require as much concentration and it doesn't matter if it goes out.

    Citronella candle

I know experts go back and forth on it but I have a large ladybug population and very little mosquitoes and where I used to live (about 20 minutes away) I was tortured with mosquitoes. I can't see the harm in getting some and releasing them. You should try it next spring and see if it helps.

    They aren't that expensive.

Anyone have some high resolution cigar photos around?

I don't think I could have a stogie for a background. I might be too tempted to light the monitor on fire.
