    Cigar Doctoring?

I've used the liquid Certo with good results. Obviously it affects the looks of the cigar, but no biggie. I had a badly damaged box of JL#2's and doctored about 10 of them. Other than some slight burn issues, I couldn't tell the doctored from the non-doctored. I took some pics as well, I'll...

I believe they last about 3 months.

    Bóveda Hygrometer Calibration Kit

I'll have to take a pic, as there is no visible model number. It's a small rectangle, maybe 1.5" x 3". Also it's been discontinued by the Shack, which is why I purchased the other model. You can sort of see it here (up top). I'll post a better one if needed.

    Bóveda Hygrometer Calibration Kit

I just received their 75.5 calibration kit to figure out once and for all which digital hygr. was the correct of my two. Two different radio shack models, one is 3 under, the other right on. Great peace of mind for about $5. Nice review on a great product.

    CFB PSD4 by Altbier

I had a lot of fun reading through this thread yesterday. Any updates on how they're smoking after some extended humi time? Differences in flavor in the recent bundles?

CAO Sopranos Line - anyone tried one?

This is the first I've heard of them. Who knows, I may try one if given the opportunity. This has to be a first....a cigar based on a television show. C.A.O. really knows how to market their product, I'll give them that.

    What was your first cigar?

Dutch Masters.....it was pretty harsh if I remember correctly. Haven't had one of those in about 12 years. I believe I bought a fiver when I bought my first Penthouse. The rights of passage when turning 18.

    Fuente Anejo Shark #77

I've had two of these, and they were both amazing. One of the best. I know they start to show up in shops around the holidays. When I bought mine last year it was about two weeks before Christmas and there were 8 left. Might have to treat myself again in a few weeks, wish they were a bit...

    Dress box aging.

Good point. I don't know how, but I hadn't seen that picture yet. Uhhh, thats a lot of cigars.

    Dress box aging.

Suppose I should've mentioned that. I was thinking 3-5 years.

    Dress box aging.

As I start to gather more and more cigars, I'm getting ready to do some long term aging. I was wondering why dress boxes are looked at as inferior for aging? Am I better off taking cigars out of their dress box and putting them in cedar trays for long term naps? Or is it not that big of a deal?

Local Shop Question - What Would You Have Done?

Sound like its time to gift him a cigar with a cigarette load in it. When I was a teenager starting to smoke Dutch Masters, my friends pulled that prank with annoying frequency. For those who don't know, it's basically a baby firecracker that blows the tip of the cigar off. I've never been...

    Optimum RH

I used to use the PG solution which maintained a 70RH and I had burn issues. Seemed to be too wet, and a lot of cigars went out if I wasn't smoking fast enough. I now have a cigar oasis plus set at 65 in my humi, and 65% beads in my cooler. I haven't had as many burn problems with 65%, so I...
