When was the last time you were WOWED...

It would have to be both a '01 Hoyo Du Roi and a Reinaldo (custom rolled) lancero that I had on the same day. Just out-frickin-standing; both of them. Great draw, intense flavors which changed dramatically throughout, and plumes of smoke.:tu

    spent cigars

I live in a brand new development, so the water-filled pit that will someday be my neighbor's huge is doubling as the world's biggest ashtray at the moment. Normally I just leave the butt in the ashtray until at least then nest day, then throw out the butt & ashes in my garage garbage. Bands...

    Converting old fridage

I removed the plastic door shelving from one of mine, and lined the interir with mahogany luan ($20 per 4x8 sheet). The other fridge I left the door shelving on which I fins useful nowadays. Other than that, clean it well, have enough beads to do the job and look into some fans for circulation...

Cutting or punching cigars..what do you prefer?

I like to cut, simply because I like the airway to be as large as possible to avoid any buildup. Punching is easier to avoid problems with unravelling tho!

    Opinions on Puros Indios?

I have a bundle of Los Gordos (6x60) that I keep for camping that I enjoy. Of all the PI blends I have every tried, it is the only one I care for. The rest taste cheap. :2

    What's your fav "underappreciated" cigar?

REO by RP (robusto). The only whole box of NCs I've ever purchased. Each smoke gives you a mouthful of chewy smoke, akin to a mouthful of flavorful homemade chili. :ss:tu

Are Cuban cigars available in the Dominican Republic?

I bought Monte 2's and Cohiba Robustos while in the DR. Let me tell you how it feels to buy "Cubans" in the DR: Spend some time in jail as the community b*tch, getting bent over every night, then get labeled as a child molester and get beaten within an inch of your life by some of the angriest...

Do you keep an inventory of your cigars?

I keep an Excel spreadsheet of cigars by brand, vitola de salida, vitola de galera, size ("/rg), country of origin, # of cigars {NC # seperate}, retail$ value, if they've been frozen or not, and notes on each. It gives me something to look at while at work :ss

How long will you hang in there before you chuck a lousy cigar?

I try and get at least an inch in. Life truly is too short for crappy cigars.

What was the last bad smoke you had?

Whichever NC I tried. I have to stop trying to fool myself and just give the rest away.

    Are Henrys Cigar Tools priceless?

Those are the best substitute I've seen. Sure, the Henry's tools are nice, but if you want purely the function of a draw tool, the skewer will work almost as well. I might flatten/sharpen the end a touch before use. :2
