I agree it is probably overkill. I think I am just using the use more then cut back theory. tonight everything is looking pretty good. The humidity inside of the cabinet has been above 60 all day and the humidor is betwen 64 and 74 depending on which drawer I check the hygrometer in.

I think the beads are doing the trick. The 3 drawer humidor inside the cabinet is reading 66 on the bottom drawer, 77 in the middle and 61 on the top. The outside of the humidor inside the cabinet is reading 65. I have half pound of beads in the cabinet outside the humidor and half pound inside...

I don't own a cat but I have to ask what does cat litter cost these days? Is it really that much cheaper than humidification beads? How many people want to start using cat litter in their humis? I would rather support local and online cigar retailers.

Had some sticks in a small humi that was probably between 50-55 % for a few months. Took those sticks to my private box at the local B&M where they keep things at a nice level. Hoping after a couple of months in that box they will come back to life.

You must have gas heat like me. I did put a cigar oasis xl in the cabinet and it raised the humidity in the cabinet above 60 (it was around 55 before that).
