If you rotate the cigar to the right where the arrow in the picture that is currently on the right is on the bottom....I swear that would be a picture of Jesus in the ash.......:D
I have said this many times on this board when discussing Maduro's.
My favorite Maduro (Anejo's being the exception) are the EL ORIGINAL Toro Maduro from Island Smoke Shop. I love these things.
Here is the link, check them out......

I have been talking about these for a while. I really like them. There is just something about the smaller ring gauge that really refines this blend. I don't know if they are better every Pepin I have smoked, but they are certainly one of my favorites.
Speaking of Pepin and Lancero, anyone...
JdN Antano Lancera is at the top of my list currently for this type of cigar. Granted, I haven't tried all of the ones listed above, but I am working on it.
I bought a box over a year ago and they were really harsh out of the gate and not something I wanted to smoke really. Fast forward a year and just his week I decided to give another one a shot. They have really smoothed out and whereas they don't compare to really any of the Pepin's I have...
I have a palio and a xikar. I have to say that I don't even know where the xikar is at the moment.
Palio is all that I use and I have 3 of them. The original, the carbon fiber and the burlwood model. I guess that makes me a Palio whore!
I have become a fan of the Joya de Nicaruagua Antano 1970 Lancero. It is really a great stick. I have intended on picking up a box of these, but I haven't gotten to it yet. You can pick up a box of 20 for about $75 without looking around to much.
Here are a couple of suggestions that I like. I don't look at them as medium-full, but they are advertised that way....
Maria Mancini Magic Mountain Maduro - Like a chocolate bar.....
La Gloria Cubana Wavell Maduro
And one of my favorite maduro's......you can order these from the Island Smoke...
Agreed. I loved the gran robusto from the first smoke. It still remains one of my favorites. I bought a box of the Rothschild and they are good, but nowhere near as good as the gran robusto. The gran robusto seems to be the perfect size and blend for this cigar.
I have a couple in the humidor that have been sitting for a while. Nice review with the pictures. I felt like I was there.....:D
I guess it is time to pull one of them out of the humi......
Good eye Scottie. The El Bubble band is compliments of my 7-year old. He really likes them and prefers them right out of the box. No aging necessary.
Roger.
