    What ya smoking today?

I just had my Christmas eve smoke which was an A. Fuente Gran Reservo. Strange, but I always think of the flavor of this cigar as steak sauce and chocolate. :dr I shared the cigar with a bottle of Bass Ale and "The Great Adventures of Sherlock Holmes." It was a nice afternoon indeed.

New humidor damaged at my door

Absolutely. That's the only way to assess the damage. Keep the box though. If the box itself shows damage (i.e. the cardboard is torn or corner crushed) then that gives weight to your argument that it was damaged in delivery. But I have to say, GadgetBestBuy should have double boxed it...

Whats the worst Cigar you ever smoked?

Garo Habano Maduro. Notice, I didn't say Gran Habano, but Garo. At the time I hadn't smoked a cigar in probably 5 or 6 years. I received it as a gift from a friend on her birthday. Yeah, she was giving her friends presents to celebrate her birthday (Pretty cool chick) and she gave all the...

    Signature Collection by Perdomo Torpedo

Perdomo Signature Collection Review. I had one today and here are my thoughts: This is a pretty quick review because there just isn't much to say about this cigar. It's not a bad cigar at all. There's just not a lot to say about it. First of all, it certainly is mild. There's a very slight...

    Bought Cigars from COSTCO?

Quick Newbie Question: If they were too dry from being in a display case without RH control would letting them sit in a humidor for a month or so fix that? Or are the cigars permanently damaged?

    Smokeing Room pixs ?

I have to smoke outside. It's not so bad until it gets really cold. Yesterday it was cold and rainy but up on the porch it was dry and cozy. The view from the porch is pretty nice. But in February it can get a little chilly. We're in the foothills of the Sierra mountains about half way...

Quick question on 5 Vegas Humi's

Run Away! Yes there are cheap prices. But it's basically crack for cigar smokers. It's really tough to stop buying way more cigars than you need.

    First Devil Site purchase

Damn you Commander Quan! (Wow, how often do you get a chance to say that?) Those sticks looked so good and so many people said great things about them that I had to go to CBid and bid on a Fiver. And I won! Add that to the 20 cigar sampler that I won and the nice ash tray that's shipping...

    I won I won I won

Quint: I too have fallen into the CBid abyss. I just received my first 2 5-packs which I got for $9 each. Yep, I got some AFs and some 5 Vegas for less than $2 a piece. I just won a 20 cigar shade grown sampler for $31. That gives me some RPs, Indian Tabac, Gurka and Padillas for about $1.50...

    Strange Hygros

That's too much water. Just put several drops of water in the salt. Some of the salt needs to be dry and some needs to be wet. The wet and dry salt will equalize among itself to give you the 75% RH you're looking for.

    Humidor 101

Well, I'm going to be building myself a humidor soon. I have a woodworking shop where I mainly build musical instruments. But I've done several non-musical projects like jewelery boxes, 4 rocking horses, some basic cabinet work and so on. Regarding Red Cedar vs. Spanish Cedar and so on we must...

    Coolerdor 101 (56k Hostile!)

Newbie Question: I understand how to set up the cooler, compute the amount of beads, the benefits of aging cigars and so on. But here's the thing: Since I'm A) a newbie and B) money is, let's just say "Tight" at the moment I don't have that many cigars. I won't be buying a lot of boxes of...

I like it spicey , what should i get ?

I just had a C.E.Beck & Co. from Cuban Crafters the other day and while it was absolutely not my taste in cigars, it was very spicy. I like cigars with a darker chocolate like flavor but this cigar was all spice and pepper. So you may like it for the very reason that I didn't. It's real...
