Rocky Patel Edge Sumatra or Corojo??

I have had the Sumatra wrapper Edge and it is fantastic!!:tu I was not a big fan of the Edge until I smoked this one. This cigar was full bodied with a great draw of thick creamy smoke. You knew you were smoking a cigar with this baby.

Looking for opinions on a few humis

+1 Infinity I have one of these and could not be happier with it. It seals tight and the RH remains constant all the time. My cigars are always "smoke ready". It looks great and holds lots and lots of cigars!! :tu:tu: Just my :2

cigar shops and black friday ??

If the cigar shops were smart they would open up at 5AM for the guys to smoke and relax while they let their wives slug it out with all the other idiotic shoppers. :D Just my :2

    Cuesta Rey Cigars?

Fantastic cigars!! The Sungrown Centrofino is loaded with flavor. And joining their club is one of the best deals out there. The polo shirt alone is worth far more than the $18 it cost to join. Then you throw in a 4 cigar sampler pack makes this the best deal going. You get the same thing if...

    Lighter recommendation?

I have owned and used a lot of torch lighters over the years but the only one I recommend now is a Volcano triple torch. It has a lighted visible display of the butane storage. This lighter works like a champ and is amazingly low priced. The first one is only $10.95 and each additional one is...

    Flor de Camaguey

These guys do not respond to any e-mails these days. I asked about them in September at a B&M in Ft. Myers Beach, FL, that used to carry them and also host events for them, and was told the guy that was the importer is now scraping boats for a living. They were imported by a company named...

Always looking for a early morning cigar

Interesting review of the Don Kiki Green. I have always wanted to give them a shot. For me, my favorite early morning cigar is the Don Diego Corona. Of course the Casa Torano robusto is very good too.

    Davinici Reviewl

I am glad you liked it. For me, it was the worst handmade cigar I have smoked in over 10 years of smoking cigars. The taste was horrible. So bad in fact that I put pitched it after about an inch or two. The taste left in my mouth was so bad I couldnt grab another cigar because the taste would...

    Taste of a Cigar

Mark's advice is right on the money. Smoke slower to enjoy, and detect, flavors. Hold the smoke in your mouth a bit longer. Pay attention to your tounge. Your tounge has "zones" that detect sweet, spicy, peppery, etc. Finally, it takes time.

Why does tobacco need to be humidified to taste good?

It was mentioned briefly earlier, but if a cigar has dried out the wrapper becomes very brittle and fragile. Clipping or punching the head to prepare the cigar can make it split and then you have unraveling of the wrapper. Too high a humidity and the draw becomes very hard. What many people...

    Three Cigar Magazines Reviewed

I am an old fart... but I guess not a very mature one because I thought Tommy's article about having to smoke 10 Cuban cigars to win a bet was one of the funniest stories I have ever read about guys, cigars, and stupid bets. Just my :2

    Three Cigar Magazines Reviewed

Cigar magazine is my favorite cigar publication. Tommy's articles are one of the main reason I subscribe. I am not about to sail a yacht to New Zealand for a round of golf with Greg Norman, so I dont relate a whole lot with CA magazine.
