    Necessary to Freeze CBid/CI Sticks?

Bear in mind, unless you have a very, very deep freeze-capable freezer, you need to keep them in there for much longer than 24/48/72 hours (whatever). I think to actually kill eggs/larvae you have to freeze the cigars below 0. The freeze has to actually penetrate the entire cigar. Since most...

    Opus X!?!?

Agreed, but a brilliant gimmick at that. I like the Opus, but I actually like the Anejo better. I have had Opus straight out of the box and...eh. They're ok. However, with a good deal of age (2, 3, 4+ years), you are talking about a very, very special cigar.

    Palio - Mark - Cigarmony

I came home after a loooong day at work to find a package that I just knew was my new Palio cutter from the last group buy. I've never used one before, at least not to my memory, so I was pretty excited to use this. I've used xikar, zinos, scissors, etc. No name, brand name...hell just the...

    A Very Sad Day

This is absolutely heartbreaking. I'm very sorry that has happened. She's in a better place, and she isn't suffering anymore. I know that doesn't make the hurt for you go away, but prayers are with you. If you need anything, let me know.

    Favorite?

Hmm...if I had to pick a favorite BRAND, it'd be the Ashton VSG line. Any size, any shape. If I couldn't choose a VSG, and I was stuck on a deserted isle with only 1 cigar to smoke the rest of my time there (granted, there'd be an endless supply of them haha) it could very well be an AF Cuban...

    CAO GOLD International Pics

Those aren't CAO Cigars. Just a CAO box. I had a buddy that had that very same cigar that he got on his visit to Nicaragua. I'll check with him next time I talk to him, but I think there's actually a Sultan Cigar Shop in one of the cities there (I'm assuming Granada...but I've been wrong...

    digital hygrometer?

I found the same hydrometer at my B&M and the manager let me take it into their walk-in and leave it for a while. When I checked, it read exactly as their big hydrometer. I'd say it'll work just fine for you and wouldn't worry about a more expensive one.

    Zippo Lighters

I have a feeling that if you used a zippo for a while, you may just be used to it. By no means is my opinion an end-all on this subject, my experience is...from the perspective of a torch-user...when I have had to borrow a lighter and it was a zippo, I did indeed taste the fuel...even when I...

    CAO Criollo

Pampas comes in a tin of 5, usually. it's the smallest of the line. Although I think I've seen it in that cool little pull-out tray box they have. If you enjoyed the flavor of this, be sure to try one of the larger ones before you entirely give up on this line. :) Hoss

NEWBIE Review of CAO BRAZILIA GOL!

Hey, nice review! The CAO Brazilia line is a fine smoke that used to be one of my favorites. I think they've fooled with the blend a little bit and now it's not the same experience for me as when it first came out but that's ok! I recall MY first Brazilia. It was so peppery spicy it...

    Cigars International Red Label

Don't give up on the Red Label Legend! You may have just gotten a stinker. I love this cigar and while the finish is indeed fairly short...I think most of the ones I've had didn't finish as badly as yours did. Thanks for the Perdomo "mistake" recommendation. I am going to try to try these.

    Aurora 100 Anos Robusto

Corona WAS a good size. I think that RG let that cigar burn juuuussst hot enough to release a lot of good flavors. This is a very very good smoke. The Robusto is a fine size as well. Nice review Darrell. I think you nailed it. There are so many nuances of flavor in this cigar. Spending...

    CAO Criollo

What size Criollo did you smoke? Was this the small "Pampas" or the "Manchas"? I have had the same burn issues with the smaller RG cigars of this line, but not so much the larger ring gauges. The burn issue is very frustrating, especially with this cigar because it is a very, very tasty...

    Don Pepin Cuban Classic 1950

Pregame: Must admit I have a bit of a man-crush on Jose Garcia. I'm a true Pepin whore and have smoked almost everything the man has rolled to include the GS "Stash" from Black Cat Cigar in Pennsylvania. Anyhow, this baby is a classic Toro size, 6 x 52, and was wrapped in cellophane. I...
