They are stiffer. I usually recommend the standard Palio just for this reason.

Just smoke it in a way that allows you to enjoy it. Stop over-thinking it. Just take a few mild puffs and let the smoke find its way out. You may have read that there is a certain way to smoke a cigar and you can toss that right out. Jut smoke the damned things the way that you want.
