    Tatuaje Reserva J21

I must say these are not what the once were. I had a stash w/ at least 3 years on them and they WERE the epitome of a good cigar - the version getting all the praise. I picked up some recent stock and the cigar changed, its a more dry and the wrapper is darker. It is a different cigar. Not...

    Bethleham-Cigars International Super-Store

Was up in the area visiting relatives and casually remarked to my fiance that CI was around here somewhere. Anyways, on the way home I drove past 22 and their was CI. We stopped in a marvelled at the place. I picked up a few Cusano sticks. All and all a great experience and I will be back.

    Cigar Magazine Comparisons

A great idea and thank you Doc. ECCJ is my current favorite, behind that would be Smoke and then cigar magazine and cigar press are I guess tied for 3rd. Cigar Magazine has great articles but the review section is heavily populated with certain cigars that i have no desire to smoke.

What's your rotation look like lately?

I've been employing a 5 man rotation lately, I guess you could say i've been preparing for the September call ups. Padron 3000 maduro, Cabaiguan robusto extra, San Christobal guajiro, Padron 64 Maduro exclusivo and Tatuaje cabinet J21 make my rounds lately. An expensive (save the paddy 3000) but...

    Hope! Perdomo Habano Corojo

for some reason my humi just gravitates to this number - I dont mind storing the cigars in it but i do 'drybox' my cigars for at least one hour before smoking. I must say I don't like too 'dry' cigars, I seem to prefer the snap of a decently humid stogie.

    Hope! Perdomo Habano Corojo

I want to very much love this cigar, I have to try a few more. BUT the two I have tried were not constructed well and burnt horribly. One was plugged to tight at a spot and the other just kept going out. I know all the warnings - i keep my cigars steady at 68 % humidity, I get them out of the...

    Padron 3000

Welcome to the wonderful world of Padron. This is my go-to smoke for quality, consistency and price point. The newer one's ive purchased are less than stellar looking but they hold up alright and taste great. Put at least 6 months of age on them and they truly blossom.

I hear ya Made In Dade - my last few 2003 cojonu's and J21 Reservas have been 'off' compared to their earlier compadres. I can't say Im completely disappointed as they taste good but not quite the dry and spicy Tatuaje I am used to.

    Padron 1964 Exclusivo Maduro

My #1 cigar. Always in the mood for me and would smoke them everyday if the budget allowed.

Most Prized Cigar In Your Collection?

My special 'look but don't touch' selections would be my Padron 40th and 80th anniversary maduro sticks and my 2 year + aged CC Montecristo #2 and Edmundo. I have a camacho liberty from 06 sitting pretty in it's coffin that I guess I would bust out for that special moment. But really, isn't...

    Who knows about JR cigar

I have had mixed luck ordering from them. My last order was a 10er of Excalibur #3 maduros and they sent me a box of 10 regular with a 'maduro' sticker sloppily fixed to the side of the box. The contents were certainly not the Maduro so needless to say I was a little angry. Haven't ordered since.

    Go To Cigar

When I run a cost/benefit analysis I always come back to Padron 3000 maduro's. 100 dollars for a box of 26 is possible and quite frankly a steal.

    smoking location

I do most of my smoking inside. I've got my basement looking like a sports bar and will only smoke down there. Ive got a decent exhaust system going so Im able to keep the smokey smells isolated. It also helps that my fiance smokes so we are able to hang out together.

    El Centurion

Ive smoked a handful of these, the mini torpedo size. I must say the first 2 were pretty good but not what I would call 12-14 dollars worth of a cigar. The last 3 have had AWFUL wrappers. Razor thin and each time the cigar has cracked and caused all kinds of problems. It's left a very bad taste...

    Don Lino African Kuro

One of my local B&Ms had the Africa line selling at half price. Having dabbled before and really enjoying the line I had to pick up a fiver of the robusto size. They had a ton of them over the past year but were really going through their inventory w/ this sale.

    Carlos Torano Cameroon 1916 Torpedo

I laid down a box of these babies over 2 years ago. I have about 20 left today and I cannot tell you just HOW MUCH these improve with age. Physically they held up wonderfully and the draw and burn were way better after the aging. The flavor 'sweetened' up too, a little dry-tasting but sweet.
