    Strongest cigar you've ever smoked

Double Ligero Chisel from LFD was by far the most powerful cigar I've ever smoked. Frankly, it was unbearably painful for the rest of the day. Maybe with 10 years of age they'll be amazingly complex cigars....I'd prefer to hoard Bolivar CGs :ss

    What's the highest/lowest you've paid..?

reminds me of the time my wife brought back a Trinidad fundadores from Montreal. She paid $65 canadian. At that point I had just started smoking and thought the Partagas Black was the be all and end all. I knew I was smoking something special, but that was about as deep as it got for me.

    What's the highest/lowest you've paid..?

I think I once paid $40 for a Sublime. I also think I once paid about $.80 for a Don Kiki petit Corona.

What is the sweetest/creamiest cigar you've ever smoked???

Sweetest/creamiest cigars I've smoked have all tended to be wrapped in the Ecuadorian Sumatran wrapper. This includes Zino Davidoffs, certain Hoyos, and..... damn it's hard to remember -- been so long since I've imersed myself in the world of domestic cigars. The R series from Davidoff s also...

    Aging Opus X'es

I've been aging opusx's since 2003. Haven't had one in two years. Decided I'd break one out tonight to see how things are going. I'm smoking a corona right now (forget the name) and while it's much more smokable than it was 4+ years ago, it still needs time to mellow. These cigars do need age...

    Young chimp seeks sage advice

Smoke one, keep the band..... ...and wrap it around a Ashton VSG of comparable size. Place said VSG at the bottom of the box. When your BIL finds it, he's going to have a hard time being mad at you. Here's a pooping cow in honor of your/my devious plan :BS

    Most Overrated Cigar.....

Ditto on the Millenium: complete doo doo. Now, the Double R.....that's a great medium bodied cigar. I love the 40th anniversary and am glad I still have a few to age an extra year or so.

    ANEJO's Are IN!!!

I just picked up two Sharks and 2 best sellers. Apparently there are some Hemingway Maduros waiting for me as well. Damn, I've been buying lots of cigars these days. Wonder if I'll ever the time to smoke em.

    ANEJO's Are IN!!!

In my experience, You should buy enough such that you have a few left over for next Christmas time. The recent batches of Anejos really haven't been living up to their forebears and I suspect that's due to a lack of aging. I'll be smoking last years Anejos in the next week or so, and saving the...

    La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurados

I've had quite a few of them and think them a fine smoke: good taste, excellent burn. But thruthfully, there are other ecuadorian sungrown cigars I've enjoyed more -- the Rocky Patel Sungrown Torpedo being one. Sadly this doesn't apply to the other vitolas I've tried and the Torpedos are...

How often do you get the PERFECT burn?

I've never had an Avo that didn't burn flawlessly. Ditto every Padron 1926 and almost every 1964 I've ever smoked.

    Master Blend II

I had the same impression when I first smoked an MB I. 6 months of age and it was one of the better cigars I've smoked.I still have one after a little over a year and I'm thinking about keeping it another 6 months.

    Smoking my very first padron

I had an aged Padron 2000 (2+ years old ) gifted to me by Mocobird that was very reminiscent of a "fresh off the truck" Anniversario.

    Master Blend II

Last year's Masterblends have aged very well and are definitely smoking better than they did when I bought them last year. I definitely suggest you lay a few MB IIs down for a year. I just bought a box of the IIs and still have a couple of the first MBs , the latter being excellent smokes right now,

    Avo Limited Edition 05

They seemed to be very hard to find for a while, but yesterday I went by my local shop and saw that they had sent him 15 boxes of the 05. Perhaps Avo held back for a while to create a little extra demand or.... I'll be trying mine tomorrow and will decide then if they warrant a box purchase.

    Montecristo White #2

I found the one White Monte I smoked to be pretty buttery, but it was a bit on the mild side. If you like the Monte White, try the Savinelli ELR. It has quite a bit more flavour, but is still a very smooth and easy smoke.

1926 or 1964, natural or maduro?

I try to keep enough of them (64s and 26s) in stock such that I always seem to have one to smoke with at least 6 months of age. I've now got a few that are over a year old. I've found that some of the recent 64s I've purchased have tasted on the young side and definitely left me underwhelmed...
