I agree with Dave analogs are junk. You have a 300 count humidor. At the low end you will have $400 in cigars. $19 for a digital hygrometer is cheap insurance for your sticks.
I agree with you. Leave a dish of distilled water for 5-7 days in the humidor. Put it on a shelf and let it sit. Dont open it.....after that you should be good.
Smoked a black label a couple of days ago. Smoke it slow.......its nice sweet and peppery......if you smoke it fast it gets pretty spicy. Overall a good smoke. Good draw and burned even.

I smoked the kuba kuba a few weeks ago for the first time. I must say I was pretty impressed. The sweet wrapper and natural tobacco flavor was pretty good. I am not into the flavored stuff but I would not pass one up. Give the kuba kuba a try, pretty good smoke.

I wouldn't worry about 72. I cant get my humi below 75 during the day sometimes it goes to 78 and at nite it goes down to 70 when the house gets cold. But 72 is not bad. Once you get around 80 and for a good amount of time is when you will run into problems.
