Im a big fan for the Torano line of smokes thier smokes run the gamut from extremly mild to fairly full flavored, and Taboo has a really good line of hevier full bodied smokes, though youd have to check out thier website as i cn never remeber what they are called.

more coats, one coat, 0000 it, another, let it sit for a while, just dont let it dry. after 3 or 4 coats, it should get close to black as possible... ebony stains are a pain like that though.

4 aught steel wool or 0000 steel wool best way to finish stains before you gloss em. even gloss finishes, one coat, rub it down, another coat, ETC...

Got ya, I dont know if it will be necessary to seal the back side of the cedar. ive built a few things for my smokes and while I sealed the wood from the back side, the cedar i left raw, no issues yet. My thinking was that the quarter inch SC would lose some of its expansion capabilities but...

i find with ebony stains that the longer i let it sit, the darker it gets, might have to 0000 it a bit more but it works. did you seal the spanish ceder on the inside? may I ask why if you did? or did you seal the wood before lining it?

alot of it has to do with how much youve eaten suger content of that food, and stuff, and sometimes it just hits you harder. weve all had it at one point or another, the one that did it to me was a padron something or other.

are they light spots or holes? if they are light spots, its possible they are water spots. The water lays on the leaf and the sun bleaches a section of the leave where the spot is. tey dont look like beetles though... tap the foot on a white sheet of paper see if anything that looks like rat...

Don Diego go over pretty well at these events. Casa Torano is a good choice as well, Very very mild, most people like them, short smoke, semi complex flavors at times, but most people wont notice that. good luck! Congrats on the Wedding! Brad

Try a light test. put a light inside the humi, darken the room, if you see a bunch of light, coming from the sealed part, you do want to do something to improve your seal. Other than that, check your hydro, do a salt test, if its analog, chuck it, buy your self a decent digital. Good luck! Brad

Isnt all that intresting? I took a wine class up here in TC. It was incredibly intresting and really opened up my pallate. good stuff. That direct sun vs indirect is amazing to me how it changes the flavors and such.

ive found that the more age with these the better, but thats just me. new out of the box ive noticed em being loose and one sided but after a year they are better dunno

Ive noticed this trend too, it probably comes down to cost... but i have noticed that cheaper maduros tend to be dyed where as known brands tend to be real mad... dont know. just a bit weird.
