This is a double corona Connecticut wrapped Dominican premium. It comes in a cedar lined aluminum tube.
The first thing you would notice about this cigar is that it is firm and heavy, like a wood dowel. Perfectly smooth wrapper with no bumps or large veins. The smell is sweet and cedary. It cut...
I didn't want to draw any fire,:gn, but yesterday I was smoking a JLP and thought it has a similar cocoa taste to a Gurkha G3.:mn
JLPs are really good for the price IMHO.
I disagree about Pepins. Maybe one tastes like some CC to somebody. I have found that many different NCs reminded me of one or another CC, but I don't remember the specifics. I have even found a bundle cigar I thought would fool a smoker in a blind taste with a cuban cigar if the cap were cut...
This stuff is REALLY GOOD! I had a friend bring some back from Costa Rica and forgot the name of it. After searching around on the web I ended up here at CS! I should have looked here first.
I almost always drink my whiskey neat, too, but on a hot day while sitting outside smoking a stogie I might have it on the rocks with a splash of sour. It's refreshing that way.
I like cigars with that fresh taste. Your taste may vary. I just don't like them damp or they burn badly and taste wrong. When I get one fresh that I want to smoke soon then I roll it in my fingers and get a feel as to how dry it is and if I think it's too wet, but I want to smoke it anyway...
I just finished a corona and really loved it. Better than a Decade IMO. Great finish. I think I like the OWR better, but I haven't smoked one recently enough to compare. A bit mild but very flavorful is a good description.
I agree that those humi pouches usually make the gars too damp. That said, I would set one out to dry for later or the next day if I wanted to smoke it badly enough. Most of the time I can just wait. There are other sticks to try or old favorites to enjoy.

Purity is not just TDS because that won't pick up solvents. But beads probably don't care about anything but TDS. Old RO filters start failing and DI cartridges get saturated. Charcoal gets old. Otherwise RO is great and RO/DI is unbeatable. I probably don't change my stuff often enough but it...
If you use RO followed by charcoal it's about as pure as it can get. RO/DI then charcoal is usually more pure than distilled. You can test for dissolved solids in water by putting some in a large, clean metal spoon and carefully evaporating it away. There should be no visible residue. That would...
Yeah, and I have a 10 gal nano in the bathroom that's been going for about 8 years. It does all right with the lower light and all. I have the RO/DI for the fish that I use for watering house plants and cigar beads and even topping off batteries. It's very pure.
