When was the last time you were WOWED...

Most recently it was a 601 Green Label Oscuro "La Fuerza" what did it. :dr

    DPG Cuban Classic

In terms of flavor, body, and strength, how do these compare to the blue label?

If you were to buy 1 box of cigars.... What do you suggest I buy for my 1st box?

I haven't bought a box yet either; but I already know what my first is gonna be: Padron 3000. Never had a bad one, always satisfies. Distinctive flavor, great construction and burn. I'm told they age well too. Add the fact that the price is ridiculously reasonable, and it's hard to beat as a...

    First Tatuaje....

I love the Tat Whites, they're mellow yet very flavorful. A really good cigar on any scale, tremendous-bang-for-the-buck.

    Leathery cigar suggestion?

CAO Brazillia - the wrapper has a distinct leathery flavor to me.

    CAO Brazilia Gol!

A reliably excellent smoke; I always keep a few as well. Nice review - glad you enjoyed it!

Need suggestions for the rest of the weeks smokes...

If I were out of work and had some time on my hands, I think every day, at least once, I'd stick my hand in the humi, with eyes closed, and smoke the first stick I yanked out. Surprise yourself, relax, and enjoy. Maybe take some notes and do some comparisons. You might even "rediscover" a great...

    Partagas Black Maximo

I agree 100% - and the 601 Green is one fine smoke. Reading this makes me want to smoke one of each of these right now! :dr

    Partagas Black Maximo

The CAO Brazillia is somewhat similar; it's an excellent smoke as well, and if you like the Partagas Black, you may like it too.

New Cigar Bar in Anderson, SC

We've got a Halfway to Habana here in Greenville, on Main St.. Nice, well stocked humidor, lockers, smoking lounge, as well as an interesting variety of very nice smoking accessories and related items for sale (cigar store indians, hand carved rocking chairs, etc.). As for the Tiger paw, it's a...

    It happened!

I had a Don Pepin Blue Generosos tonight. I've smoked these before with no problem, but tonight for some reason it kicked my ass. I guess the Crown & Coke I was drinking finally kicked in because I felt better in about 45 minutes, but I was pretty queasy and shaky for a while. Sometimes it just...

Should I smoke one, or let 'em rest?

Well . . . I caved and did just that with one of the LTC Torps. It was a beautiful smoke - perfect burn and draw, no problems at all. If these get any better with time, I don't know if I'll be able to stand it! :dr

    Partagas Black

I keep a large paper clip with my smoking tools just for that purpose. A couple of careful pokes and the draw problems are fixed. It only takes a few seconds, and the flavor of these makes it worth it to me. I have to do it with about 2 out of every 10 of these.

    Partagas Black

They're one of my favorites, and aside from an occasional tight draw, they are very consistent, especially flavor wise.

Should I smoke one, or let 'em rest?

I just got a 5-pack each of the La Tradicion Torpedo and a Sabor Cubano Corona Gorda. I know it is typically suggested that I let them rest in the humi for at least a few days (if not weeks) before smoking. These are shipped in a very nice "Humi-Pouch". I don't want to waste one fighting a poor...

    How should I spend $100.00?

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm leaning toward a tupperdor (as large as I can find) and beads for now, with the balance on some sticks I've been wanting to try as well as a few of my favs.

    How should I spend $100.00?

I wound up with $100.00 extra cash for my birthday. Not a lot by any means, but I'm talking guilt free spending money that I can openly devote to my cigar hobby. I'm a relative newb, and my current set-up consists of a 50-count humi fairly full of various smokes, a Colibri Firebird lighter...

    Dependable Smoke?

Depending on which flavor profile you prefer, I've found all of the following to be very well made, consistent, and fairly priced: any Padron x000 any 601 Arturo Fuente 8-5-8

    What are your favorite brands?

Padron, Arturo Fuente, Oliva, 601, H Upman Everything I've ever had by any of those is excellent. There are certain cigars in other brands that I love, but either I don't care for the others of that brand so much, or I haven't had many of them. Tatuaje, Partagas, LaGloria Cubana, and Don Pepin...
