I just finished about 65 hours of salt testing on my hygrometer <---- I hate hygrometers, they are not consistant. Even after 48 hours the humidity would rise as the tempreture would which is not really meant to happen? I think the best thing is to buy a brand of humidification device such as...
Hmmm I think so. When the tempreture is about 15 degrees C (59 F) I get 75% and when the tempreture rises to 20 degrees celcious (68 F) the humidity is about 78-79%. So with this constant flucuation how do I know if my Credo hygrometer is accurate or not? It is a Credo hygrometer and they are...
My hygrometer has been in there for over two days now and it is still changing. In the morning and day it seems to be 75% and in late afternoon to night it rises to 79%.
Whats going on???
Yeah I am just doing the salt test myself at the moment. Alot of websites out there say do it for 4, 8 or 12 hours.
At 4 hours my reading was at 74%, 8-12 hours it was at 75% and at 24 hours it was 78%. It has now been 33 hours and is at 76%.
Do I just keep waiting untill it doesnt change anymore?
That means I can get taxed really badly when they come through customs doesnt it?
It looks like cigars international and JR will not ship outside US
Does anyone know of US legit online cigar stores which ship international?
Hey everyone
I live in Australia and getting all cigars including cubans is no problem at all but everything is very very expensive. For example a box of CAO Brazilia ipanema here is $414.00 AUS dollars ($310.00 US) and from CI they are $90.00 US!!!!!
Is there any catch to this? Are the cigars...
Yeah the tupperware container was very small. Im sure it has something to do with the amount of confined air/moisture.
Oh well it doesnt really matter anyway. It was just wierd.
Thanks for your input Radioman, Sean, Scimmia and Tony. Appreciate it all :)
Hey everyone,
I was just stuffing around yesterday with my hydrometer and decided to do a little experiment.
First I just placed my hydrometer on my bench to see what the rooms humidity was (55% RH).
I then grabbed one of my Tupperware containers (which was TOTALLY dry) and placed the...
Hey mate I was just looking at one of your old posts where you had a picture of your humidor. I noticed the RyJ Churchills. I am thinking about buying a few. Can you tell be about them. Do they breath well? Is the draw tight? How long do they smoke for?
Thanks heaps,
Regards, James.
Ill be honest. I used a tupperdor when I was seasoning my humidor, I put my credo hydrometer and my xikar crystals in the tupperdor and it seemed to maintain the humidity much better than my humidor, which is really weird because my humidor has a fantastic seal with no leaks and it has been...
