One thing i will mention when using a wine fridge... Alot of times the spikes in RH are brief, and even if they arent so brief, the chances that the spikes will effect the contents INSIDE the boxes may be slim..

most of the time, i dont use the humidification device in travel humidors.. If the cigars are properly humidifed when going into the humi, they will stabilize and work as humdification devices.
I bought the cooled unit and love it.. But in the real humid months, I still have to run an AC unit in the room with the Aristocrat!! Not to cool the room down, but to de-humidify the office.. When i leave the Peltier unit to cool the Aristocrat without any AC running, it just pulls humid air...

Just a note. I think insurance from either UPS or USPS would be useless since I dont think either allow you to ship cigars.. Not sure how you would file a claim against a company b/c of damage done while shipping something you weren't supposed to be able to ship in the first place.

Take the cigars out of the box in question.. Wipe them off.. Now take the cigars out of the box, and store them in a cool dry place seperate from your other cigars. You may want to freeze them for a few days.. (i recommend 2 days in the fridge, then 3 days...
