20 ct. Humi. (with pics)

A while ago I purchase this Fluted Jar at Walmart, under $10.00 I believe. Holds humidity perfectly and stores around 20 sticks. I find them handy for temporary storage of new cigars before placing them in my primary humidor(s).

Credo is mounted to the lid with velcro or you can use a bead tube instead. I cut a Spanish Cedar sleeve from a cigar box for the bottom.

This small storage container can hold about 20 cigars.

Just wanted to share this for those interested in a small and cheap way to store their cigars for either long or short term.

good idea...they have one of those at the local b&m filled with $120 worth of cigars for $100

I saw the jars at walmart and the first thing I thought of was "hey I can make my own cigar jar"

great minds think alike it seems

Do you lie it down on its side or do you leave it standing. i'm not crazy about storing cigars standing. I'm afraid the foot will get damaged.

My avatar is an old Colibri humidor jar that I got when I worked at a B&M. I just started using with a hygrometer and it does hold RH. I like the beads approach. Be careful when pulling cigars out as that is when the foot of the smokes could get damaged.

I love those old humidors...on my wish list.

Good advice concerning foot damage. Definitely have to be more careful handling cigars with this "stand up" method.
