I will repost my rating system until everyone gets used to it.

I do a simple impression of the cigar what I liked or disliked and have a 5 point scale

1 dog rocket. This is a crappy cigar. Of course better than a machine rolled. But harsh. Fast and got burn. Bad flavor or no flavor.

2. Yard gar. This is a descent smoke but its okay to smoke it if your are working in the yard. Or don't have time to finish.

3. Good smoke. Better than a yard gar. Hate to not finish it.

4. Premiums. these are great smokes. You will want to take your time. Have it with friends really enjoy it. They will be in your top 25.

5. Super premiums. These are your top 5 cigars. They are well constructed. Burn well. Taste awesome.

I've selected my 4. Ashton VSG.

Truly a premium smoke. Full of flavor. Complex. I prefer the sorcerer and the wizard sizes. Smoking a sorcerer while I write the review. Hints of cedar. The slightest touch of sweetness from the sun grown wrapper. Clean even burn. Smooth like silk on the tongue but still so full flavored. If I didn't have a good crop of 5s already this would push for it. But the top is reserved for the very best. This stick is just tobacco goodness. Solid 4.

The VSG is a fantastic line. All that raisony sweetness from the wrapper, loads of rich creamy smoke...just thinking about it makes me want to run to the humi and smoke one. I tend to go for the belicoso and robusto the most often.

Man, I wish my local HAD them! I can't think of a place near me that typically has VSG. But I love 'em likethe rest of y'all.

I agree... the VSG is a top 25 smoke and sometimes a top 5 smoke for me... I just love them. In fact I had an illusion just last night!

Oh, you've touched a nerve. I 've got a box of robustos from 1998 you would not believe the strenghth, full flavor and dark cherry flavor, after 10 years !!! I have never seen a stoge age so perfectly, including "cubes".

Far and away, the VSG is my favorite smoke. I love the deep, rich flavors that it produces. This could change with time. But I don't think this cigar will ever fall out of favor with me.

Thanks for the review. I have a Spell Bound waiting in my humidor. I haven't smoked one of these in a while. A BOTL picked one up at the local and enjoyed it so next time I was there I picked one up. I am thinking of torching it this weekend maybe today.
