Building a smokeroom/gameroom (I'm finished)

Here it is. I finally finished. I missed my deadline by two days but I am finished. If a small imperfection here and there adds character then my little smoke room has a lot of character! The paint is still drying and tonight I'll break it in with one of my finest smokes! BTW, I put a 6 amp fader on the attic vent fan for speed variation and noise reduction.

For a before/after comparison look at my previous post with the similar title. I am eventually going to carpet it but for now I really like the old turkish rugs.

You see that cool old standing ashtray? That was my father's, who passed away Wednesday, and it has extreme sentimental value and it will get some good use in this room. His father gave it to him when he got out of the Navy in 1961. He left behind a note saying that he wanted me to have it.

If you are ever in Oklahoma drop by and we'll have a smoke...

Sorry to hear about your father passing away. It is good to know that he wanted you to have his ashtray. In a way, he will always be a part of your smokeroom and I am sure that will make it even more special. Enjoy your solitude and smoke one for guys like me whose wives make us seek other venues.

Sorry to hear about your father. At least he and your grandfather can always be with you in a way, while you smoke one in their honor.

The room looks fabulous! I'm jealous! Maybe I can drive out just to help you break it in. LOL

Sorry to hear about your father. The room looks great, wish I had something like it, I have to go out to the patio. Treasure the ashtray.

Sorry about your dad. What an awesome room. Fantastic job. Add me to the list of jealous people. Like others who've already replied, I'm banished to the deck.

I'm very sorry to hear about your Dad. I'm sure he would have enjoyed spending time in your new room with you. At least he will be there in spirit with his ashtray.
