Cabinet Humidor dry spots

Hey all,

I have a cabinet humi...seats about 2500 sticks. I have it all set up and have a Cigar Oasis XL. I have it going all the time though and it seems that it only humidifies about the half that it's closest to. The bottom two shelves are for boxes, drawers for loose sticks in the middle and then 2 more shelves for boxes up top. I don't have any fans in there circulating the air. I have the Oasis on the second shelf from the bottom set to 70%. But the second shelf from top shows 66% on a good day.

Any suggestions please?? :ss

Thanks

Arnaud

Hi Arnaud,

Many have had great success placing a couple of Oust fans in larger humidors to help circulate the air.

Additionally, I place the RH Beads on each shelf to help regulate humidity throughout.

With that said, I prefer 65% RH, so I wouldn't have a problem with 66% :)

I hope this helps

It does help. I'm looking more into these beads. I've heard them talked about everywhere. The forums are packed with them so I'm trying to find an online source that is good/reputable. I've been using mostly humidifiers - the foam kind - in my humis for a while now. The beads are new.

I've seen some fans here and there. Not familiar with Oust though. Is that a brand name or a particular line?

Thanks :ss

Arnaud, Mark from cigarmony is a great source for beads. I am also of the persuasion that likes 65% humidity. Oust is a brand name. You can sometimes find them at grocery stores or walmarts and such. I think they are discontinued though so you will have to find some in stock. They are run off of batteries. Sometimes you can find them in the FS/FT threads on the forum.

Oust fans work well with regulating the humi %,as mentioned before beads are the answer and I also like to keep my sticks at 65% :ss
