CI Legends White Label- Camacho

Poriggity

I love Pepin & Tatuaje
I got this cigar from a fellow BOTL, in an all camacho bomb. The White label is a cigar made by the fellas at camacho. As I felt this cigar, it was firm, but not try. Not very spongy.

Pre- light draw: I got the typical spice, and the draw was a little bit on the loose side, which isn't something I usually like, because I tend to smoke too fast. It had the typical camacho spice, so I thought I'd like it a lot.

1/3: I was getting quite a bit of spice, and really enjoying it. The ash was holding solid. There was plenty of smoke, but the draw was a little bit too lose for me. I was enjoying the spice though, and it was a well built cigar.

2/3: The cigar was still too loose, but the smoke was flowing freely. The spice kicked down quite a bit, and all I was getting was smoke, with little to no flavor. The burn was very consistent, and even throughout the cigar at this point, but the flavor was just not there.

3/3: I smoked this down to the nub hoping that the flavor would get better, but sadly I was dissapointed. The flavor never got better, and all I was getting was smoke.

All in all, I give this cigar a 2 out of 5 stars.

Thanks for the review. The ONLY thing that keeps Camachos from being some of my favorite cigars is the loose draw. I've noticed it across all the lines that I have tried, and it looks like the Legend is no different.

Yeah... I love camachos, but you are correct, the draw leaves something to be desired generally.

Thanks for the review... my experience with the CI Legends has been very spotty. Some are more consistent than others, but ultimately they just seem to be a gamble. Better sticks to be had for the same price - my :2 .

You are correct, I am smoking ANOTHER CFO #7 blend original, and I am getting ALOT more flavors out of it, and it only cost me $0.50

I had a similar experience with Legends White Label. The draw is very loose. I was lucky, though, in that my cigars all had good, consistent flavor. I found my box to be very enjoyable.

Usually I'm all about Camacho...but looks like I'll pass on this one. Thanks for the review!

Hmmm, I've always been happy with the draw on my Camachos.

I have a couple of these in my humidor. Maybe I'll try one this weekend. Though I'm not too sure after this review. But they've been aging almost a year so maybe that will help.

Logic should tell you that the Legends might not be top shelf goods. The maker can not advance his own brand with them. This frontmark is a way for a maker to sell additional cigars to the budget buyers, using the good offices of the CI and CBid marketing machine.

Think about it: if you are Camacho, or Drew, or Patel, wouldn't you use the best raw material for your own branded goods? Nobody who is disappointed by Camacho's Legend vitola will now abandon the branded Camacho cigars he already liked. So it is natural for the second rate leaves and personnel to be used, as this provides a way to make some additional money, while getting good money for second rate tobacco and training torcedores.

But the price is pretty good. If the size is attractive to you, go for it. Some people like a cigar that tastes like smoke.

I just had my first White Label and was very impressed. This is woodsy with a capital W! Sure, it's one-dimensional but that one dimension is fantastic for me! What a great value!
