Cozy's Blind Tasting

Well we will mark this down as another you will be getting again as I have this listed on my profile. This is one of my favorite cigars for the price and enjoyment they give me. I believe I have only had one or two let me down and I chalked that up to my mood as the majority of these are great. Cigar number 4 is a La Aroma de Cuba Robusto. 5 bucks was a bit much as I always wait for a deal and pick up as many as I can. But I agree, I do get my 5 dollars worth :tu

Interesting, this is the first of these I have smoked.:tu No need to send another as I think it was just off for the second half. But the first half definitely had some really nice flavors. I have read good things about these smokes and it was definitely a good smoke. For $4 or less a very good value. :ss

I'm glad other's got to experience your knowledge and honest insight from this thread!!! We BABOTL are fortunate to receive this at our Herfs!!!

#7 was on the menu last night. A Belicoso, approx 5 1/2 x 54, with a pointy taper. I like Beli's or torps with a more gentle taper, not the pointy ones. I had to make a few cuts to get a decent draw. First cut at about 1/2" only left an open end of about 3/8" so I made a second cut hoping the wrapper would not unravel. Draw was better, with no unraveling. Solid feeling, no soft spots. Prelight I thought this might be a maduro wrapper, but this smoke did not exhibit the characteristc sweetness of most maduro's so I am guessing a dark natural or a Sumatra wrapper. :ss

Nice medium strength stick, on the full side of medium which is a good thing. Earthy and woodsy flavors, I dont think I have had this one before. I liked the strength and base flavors, no bitterness or harshness. I would put this in the 7/10 range at maybe $4-5 a stick. I'm not sure if I would put this in the regular rotation as it was just a bit too rustic for my taste. :tu

OK #7 we might have a slight problem. As I didn't buy the box but a sampler from someone. I don't smoke too many maduro's so this one did have sweetness to me. This was a reg line Padron Torp.. With these Padron's it's hard for me to tell the Nat. from the Mad., maybe with more time. I can say after the sampler's I bought I will be going after a box :tu
