Cigar smoking is restricted to the bar. Sullivan's steaks have been hailed as flawless ever since it hung its shingle as a cut-to-order steakhouse. True to its word, it's all about beef at this '40s-style speakeasy steakhouse, which offers the finer things in life: live jazz, cigars and a full bar with a selection of single malt scotches, single batch bourbons and a wine list boasting 250 labels. A date and downtown favorite, Sullivan's is a combination of culinary event and social statement, in which big-suited power diners share space with middle-aged urbane couples. The menu features classic steaks, chops and seafood, with meat-eating favorites such as a 24-ounce porterhouse, filet mignon and "cowboy" ribeye, as well as veal, lamb, grilled tuna and farm-raised salmon steak.

As Fred & I found out yesterday, it is always best to check opening hours in Denver. It surprised us to find that Sullivan's is not open during the day on weekends.

Hours of Operation:
Lunch: Monday - Friday: 11:30am - 5:00pm
Dinner: Monday - Thursday: 5:30pm - 11:00pm
Friday - Saturday: 5:00pm - 11:00pm, Sunday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm

Sullivan's is a great place to visit on thursday nights as their happy hour is all night. This includes some great drink specials & 1/2 price appetizers. I don't know anywhere else in town where you can get a New York Strip for $5.

Beginning 1/1/08 Sullivan's will be non-smoking. As a smoking-ban exempt cigar bar they are required to generate 5% of their annual sales from the sale of tobacco products. They succeed in 2006 but failed in 2007....a sad turn of events.
