Cigar Induced Coma
Anybody ever heard of these, got em free and cant find out anything on them. they look ok, but you know........? thx.:cb

Yeah, I got some freebies a while back too. I think they were Robustos.

A buddy and I fired a couple up, and they were so-so. Not dog rockets, but not something I'd rush out and stock up on. I can't recall a single thing about the profile, so memorable they weren't. By the same token, neither of us pitched them in digust, so they must have at least resembled a tobacco product to some degree or another.

Vendors usually give out freebies either to introduce a brand/vitola, or to get rid of something they can't move. I strongly suspect in this case it's the latter.

Light one up and post what you think. I think I still have a few. I need to know if I should save them for friend, or foe. :D

I had a few maduros recently & thought it was a decent cigar. The link above is to an online review of the nattie. He didn't seem to care for the cigar. The review seemed overly dramatic to me (note that he hopes that the cigar doesn't make him sick "before" he lights it up).

I agree with Ashcan Bill. I got a free 5-pack of Equus Cameroons thrown in with an order from Atlantic Cigars about a year ago. I tried one & was thoroughly unimpressed.
Not bad-tasting, just nothing to send smoke signals home about.
I believe a good description would be "yawner".
I offered up the remaining 4 with some other cigars in a Thanksgiving Turkey giveaway here.

A couple of years ago, I got a fiver with each of four boxes of Indian Tabac products that I purchased. These were the maduro toros which I enjoyed enough to buy several more boxes. I have no use for the cameroon wrapper version and have yet to try the newer maduros.

Thx for the help Bros, but I should have lit one up before I asked. Smoked one this afternoon....or should I say smoked half, then pitched it....I found out all I needed to know. never again even for free.:cb

They are Atlantic Cigars house brand, the maduros are really good but need a little rest, that review is a cameroon and the guy reviewing it states somewhere that he doesnt like cameroon so of course it would get a bad review from him.

I had one tonight..
And i thought it was great...
It was better then the Por Larranga i had...
It tasted like an $8 cigar

I received the Limited Edition Cameroon and Maduro Robustos in an Atlantic sampler two months ago, both supposedly aged. Although the construction was decent, I was sorely disappointed with the taste of both cigars.

Like some others here, I've received them as freebies with my Atlantic orders.

My main complaint was that the wrapper always (almost always) came undone. As good or better than many house or bundle brands. The smoke was mild and a litttle bland but, not a throw-away although I would not purchase or pursue these.
