good, cheap bundle cigar

so come late august i'm heading out to Israel to work on a kibbutz (big communal farm kind of place) and learn Hebrew. i'll have my computer, so i can stay in touch with this great forum :ss but i don't know if there will be a b&m anywhere near me. so with this in mind, i'm going to put together a tupperdor, and i want to get a bunch of cigar bundles to fill it up with. my budget isn't huge (i'm only a college student) but i wanted to go ahead and ask my fellow gorillas if they knew any good, cheap bundled cigars. thanks a bunch in advance!

Sounds interesting.

I would suggest tampa sweethearts or famous 3000 maduros. It really depends on what you like. There's a sticky around somewhere that discusses cheap cigar choices.

good luck on your trip

Good Luck!

Edit: I recently picked up a bundle of Consuerga #10 Maduros (JR exclusive). Pretty tasty for the price. :2

Flor de Oliva, I've heard is very good. They make several bundles with different wrappers. Bundles of 25 on CI range from 29.95 to 39.95. You can find them on the devil site for cheaper. There's a bundle on there for 28.00 that ends tonight.:ss

What you heard is right
The Maduro and Corojo blends especially :tu

Try GR Specials. They're available at Atlantic Cigars. Really good smokes for the money!

i have to agree with everyone else here on the flor de olivas.. excellant value.. i just purchased a bundle of the flor de olvia gold churchills... GREAT smoke

Oh man....bundles...

Famous Smoke Shop has Indian Tabac Super Fuerte robusto naturals in bundles for a really good price. Also at Famous:

Famous Value Line Honduran 500
Famous Nicaraguan 3000
Famous Dominican 4000
La Floridita
Also another vote for any Flor de Oliva

From CI/cbid:

Slow-Aged Lot 826 nats and maddies, both great
Any 5 Vegas line can be had for around $2 a stick (except Limitadas) and are all good
Another vote for El Mejor Emerald, the Espressos are also good, but need mucho rest (6 months or more IMO)

TXMatt's cheap smokes thread is a great place to look.

By the way, I wa in Israel in October, I don't know if on the way in But on the way out they have a very nice Walk in Humidor.

:tpd:

Received my first bundle of FdO Gold last week, and they are very pleasant cigars indeed, regardless of the price. Bearing in mind the price, these are outstanding.

If you send me your addy I can grab a nice little sampler of some cheap smokes. Also check out the puff 4 pennies MAW here I'm also a student who is always on the hunt for that great $2 smoke.

On another note, I hope you keep us up to date on the kibbutz. My sister spent a year at one a while back and I have always wanted to go myself.

Here's a couple of excellent Tabacalara Tropical bundles
from LynnCigars:

Factory Direct Connecticut (robusto) 25/$26.96

Cuban Leaf Rare Connecticut Habanos (rothschild) 20/$20.74

The Torps in both are very good, too! :tu

For maduros I really like the Flor de Olivia and LaFloridita bundles. Both are very good for the price.

I really enjoy the Honduran Factory Corojos from JRs in the EMS wrapper. 50 for $50 is a great value IMHO.
