Nice pick-up, especially at that price!! You must take your cigars seriously if you're willing to drive down to the CPT to pick up a Vino. :r Now the fun part...getting it set-up, stabilized and filling it up.

I've seen the various mods that people have done to their Vinos and you have some great options to consider.

Thanks Mike, right you are! I can't wait. When I called up Target and found out they only had 2 left and wouldn't hold them, I asked if they could tell when the last one sold prior to these two so I could kinda figure out how much time I had to get on down there. They told me that I'd probably have some time since something like that didn't really sell well at their location. I locked & loaded :gnand moved on them on Sunday since I figured there was no better time than the present.

Congrats:bl I dont think you will be disapointed. Dont forget your beads! One pound is good, two better.

There is no odor from Chucks drawers, the interior is all Spanish Cedar.

You can also just use Spanish Cedar planks for shelves. I bought 5-24x5x3/16" pieces from Woodcraft.com $6.50/ea. and just cut them to length.

Take some pics for us when you get it going. :tu

Thanks! I think I'll put in my order with shilala today. I'm not sure I'd trust myself with a saw if you know what I mean. :D But I'll check out woodcraft; thanks! You bet I'll take some pics and post 'em when I'm up and runnin.

Nice haul! I voted Vinotemp as well; it's a great value for how much storage you get plus the temperature protection, and it looks nice sitting in the smoking room or wherever you keep it.

Hope you enjoy the obsession side of smoking you've just discovered :D

Great choice I don't think you will be disappointed. I washed mine up, got it a little moist with some distilled water. I have 7 empty boxes in it also moist and 2lbs of 65% heartfelt beads. My 2 caliber iii hygros say 67% but I haven't salt tested them. It's been solid at 67% since I put them in.:gn

Sweet!

I asked in the other thread but why not put it here too to get some other thoughts:

So, if I'm putting closed cigar boxes inside the Vino and humidity is supposed to permeate every crevice of the Vino, how does the humidity permeate a closed cigar box?

When you are sleeping the boxes open up and while they are talking the humidity jumps in.:tu:r:r:bn

Air and humidity will permeate the wood.:tu
