Grabbed this stick as part of Holt's "High Noon Sampler". Since it appeared to be smaller than my standard 50-52 ring, I thought it would be a nice smoke that would save me some time. Clipped it and had a tighter draw, very good but slightly tight, this went away shortly. The flavors were a bit sweet on the tip of the tongue with a little lingering spice. Pepin all the way.

Toasted the foot and away we go. It opened very nice off the bat, cedar, toasted peanut and a bit or pepper. The first inch was one dimensional with some sweet spice and toastiness, at this point, the first ash dropped. After the first inch was out of the way, the cigar didn't change much, it wasn't the well rounded body I have experienced with other Pepin blends but that was about to change, it is however quite tasty. The once rose petal burn corrected itself and is now razor sharp.

I have to preface this next description as one that will probably provoke many of you gorillas to wish that you could place me in a burlap sack and beat me with reeds. The gar neared the halfway point and between the chocolatey aftertaste in the lager I was drinking and the vanilla spice in the cigar, it was like eating a chocolate creme brulee (not as bad as madagascar vanilla but hey, I warned you). At this point, the cigar evolved into a full flavored medium bodied smoke that I was thoroughly enjoying.

As the final third of the cigar was reached, the sharp flavor profiles eased off and melted into a creamier, toasty, almost cinnamony spice. Good volume of smoke, cool burn and great taste. No need to purge or touch up. It was well contstructed and full of rich tobacco.

I would buy this again, some say they like the La Aroma but not the special edition. If you can, try one again. I found it pleasant and would rate it 7.5 out of 10.

Thanks for listening, happy smoking.:ss
