Mounds View - Roberts *CLOSED*

Home sweet Home!!
No address needed because the joint has been shut down.

I talked to Gregs brother and it seems they just were not making any money. With the statewide smoking ban comming things were not going to get any better.

There is talk that Greg might open a pizza sandwhich shop..

Stopped by the "New" lounge across the street yesterday. Greg was there, and he had a relatively small humi in the corner, and assured me he had some orders coming in. Open from 9 am to 8 on weekdays and 10 on the weekends, as I recall, and later if Bob or Greg wants to catch the last part of a Twins game. Unsure of any "beverage" policies, and they have painted it to look pretty nice, waiting for filters for the smoke eater, with just furnace filters in it now. He said to Bob that they might as well finish the space next to the liquor store off, and they went a bit nuts with new drywall, painting, and a nice laminate floor. Looks pretty nice, overall. I might change out the blankets or sheets they have for window coverings though... ;)
A couple of comfy leather couches, (from the old lounge, I think) and a pub table and chairs or 4 for seating, 2 TVs, one small, and a decent sized big screen, 50 some inches, I would guess.
Unsure of the name, or I would have put a new thread up, but this one will do, since it is essentially the same place, although without the liquor license, I think.

Yes, I used the GPS to get exact mileage from my house, knowing it was under 10 miles.... 7.9 to be exact.

I had heard that Bob opened a lounge. It's called Vino's. I assumed that the couches tv's Etc would end up overthere from Roberts. I have yet to go in there but I will have to go very soon. Now if they could make my french dip sandwhich life would be grand!!!

Moe's is across the street, and they use the old Mayslacks beef recipe. Garlicky happiness there, for a short walk on a takeout order, I think.
