New Orleans on pins and needles

Theophilus

Young Ape
The prognosticators have predicted with their best guesses that Gustav will hit near New Orleans. As I've talked with friends and been around town today, I can tell you that the whole city is on edge. A mandatory evacuation is inevitable. Please pray that this storm fizzles out in the gulf, pray for those of us who are heading inland (traffic will be terrible), and pray for those who will stay (Police, hospital workers, etc.) to maintain order. I think our new governor, Bobby Jindal, will have LA ready this time, but more importantly, I know that God is sovereign and that He is so much more powerful than any storm. I've made up my mind that I'll praise Him whether the storm hits us or not. Sometimes He calms the storm, and sometimes He calms us in order to go through the storm.

Amen brother and we will keep yall in our prayers.

Lord knows, we all don't need another one to hit NO. Thoughts and prayers w/ all there in the city and surrounding areas. May all be safe and helathy.

The track hasn't varied in quite a while.
It looks like it will hit west of the city,
putting the city on the bad side.
Even if the city doesn't get the worst winds,
a lot of water is gonna get pumped into
Lake Pontchartrain.

We need change, hope and change. :D

Thanks for your prayers my fellow BOTL! While we've been chillin at my parents house in Alabama, it looks like all is well in the Big Easy. Right now we're just waiting for power to be restored to my apartment complex. Hopefully I'll be heading home tomorrow!:chk
