PaulMac needs to switch to bourbon

Still Smitty's biotch!
That is all.

I'm possibly too many glasses into Weller Antique because travel gives me insomnia.

I have been getting back into Scotch, and I forgot how little it takes to feel it. #lightweight

OK, Scotch talk. I picked up a bottle I haven't had in probably 12 years. Some bastage here introduced me to it and it stuck. Best blended Scotch for my limited peat bog palate -- Black Bottle. To me JW is crap, and until someone recommended BB, I wasn't interested in drinking it if it said blended. I think it was either Paul or Joe.

One great thing that can be said for Scotch is that I can't gulp the shit like I can bourbon. My beloved $23 single barrel OWA of years past is a pipe dream thanks to the internet. I deeply regret every time I told people it was the same mash as PVW. Now I have to camp out my store @9AM on Thursday to get a vatted bottle for $55 and the damned thing is gone by mid week. Black bottle on the other hand is always in stock when I drive an hour to Mecca: The Party Source, That place is the only thing I miss from my days of 2.5 hours of commuting a day.

Today however at the corner store I found had a strange hankering for stout when I saw a 4 pack of Speedway in cans. Christmas in almost July sort of thing I guess. For the longest time you could only get Speedway in a bomber and opening that 12% bottle was a guarantee of being loaded. A nice pint on the other hand is magic. I'm going to have a huge bruise on my 50 y/o shin because when I held it up to the Covid barrier to scan, it wasn't fully on the counter and then fell. I sacrificed body for stout and broke the fall of the magical brew with my leg. None of the cans ruptured and since stout isn't over carbonated there wasn't an issue when I cracked the can 2 hours later.

Call me old fashioned, but I can't imaging buying Whiskey from a country that sells used panties in vending machines. Give me blue colored, inbred, Kentucky rednecks making my Whisky over those wierdos 8 days a week. (I'm sure my daughter would say that's racist.)

Thanks Paul, Paul, and Joe for coming back -- is anyone else out there yet?
