Pepin recommendations??

So I hear a lot of chatter on what a great cigar Pepin makes. Problem is, he makes like 20 different sticks.

I favor medium bodies sticks without too much spice, but do enjoy Oliva Vs

Any recommendations?

FWIW, Pepin is virtually all about spice/pepper. Go for the Cabaiguan! Or try the new La Aroma de Cuba Edition Especial and Tobacos Baez and the Vegas Cubanas. The Ashton Benchmade is another good choice. Or even the Tat White Labels.

My fav pepin is the blue. It is a bit sweet and a bit spicy. The JJ Maddies are pretty good too. :tu

The San cristobal he makes for Ashton is vey nice with little spice, also I would say his blue labels seem to remind me of the oliva V a little.:tu

Here's a thread in which participants have composed a list of all the Pepin blends, some no longer available.

I would suggest you start with low-to-moderately priced Pepins, then if you like them start dumping the bucks on the Tats and Cabaiguans and other high priced sticks.

Just my :2

Pepin is the king of spice! Cabiguan would be one of his milder sticks, but a little spice there too.

I suggest also checking out the 601 line. The Green and Blue labels are excellent as well as the new Cubao. Tons of flavor with the signature spice.

Anything but Serie JJ which is the pepperiest IMO. Although the JJ Maddie is pretty damn good because the sweetness mellows the pepper.

After having smoked a vast variety and assortment of Pepins' brand name and customer creations...I strongly believe that the Blue label is his most discernible smoke for its peppery/spicy flavor.

With regards to client brands...you cannot go wrong with Tats and the Ashton San Cristobals.
