Hi, just wondering is there a ring gage size chart type deal? Is there perhaps a plastic card with ring gage holes in it so that I can take a cigar stick it through a hole (lol) and say TAH DAH!!!! This is the proper ring gage, to help newbs with identifying proper sizing and perhaps help them in figuring out real Cub'ns. I'm not saying that, Ring gage is the only thing to determine real or fake but its one step.
 
There are numerous ring gauge charts that you can find on the net and print out, just make sure that you print at 100% so that the chart is accurate. As far as a template, if you go into a shop that sells drafting supplies, you can get a template with a selection of holes defined by '64'ths. In addition a drill gauge should work as will a knitting needle gauge I believe. There are also some craft templates that will have holes measured in '64th's or will be easily convertible. Holts used to have a ring gauge template but it was more expensive that these other suppliers. Here are two sources for a printed chart: www.ecigardepot.com, and www.cigarhandbook.com. In addition, here are some items that correspond to a certain ring gauge: dime=44, penny=46, nickel=48, and quarter=54. Hope that this helps.
 
I usually just hold the cigar up in front of a ruler, then close one eye and read the measurement. Remember ring gauge is 64ths of an inch.

This is what I ended up with and use now, thanks to a true BOTL tzaddi. You can see it behind the cigar bodyguards that he sent.

whoops sorry, yah I shoulda checked.. I was thinking hmm what an idea I doubt anyones posted anything like this up.. lol i was wrong..i'll search more..:)

No brother I wasn't tryng to be mean or anything, I just knew that there was some good suggestion in there
 
I was cruising round and looking for ring gage info.
unfortunate delay with the CS charts. I hope to get on board when they redo the GB.
The info here is good enough to bring it back
