Solder-It PT220 Table Torch

After trying a number of cheap lighter solutions that always ended up in me chucking the lighter after a couple months, I realized I may already have a good cigar lighter in my workshop. I have been using my Solder-It PT220 Table Torch for over a year now to light my stogies and I absolutely love it.

Pros (some borrowed from website):
Locking ignition button - safe
Separate controls for fuel and air - adjust the flame just how you want it
Removable rubber stand (also a con lol)
Portable - fits comfortably in my Herfidor or jacket pocket
4 hours of burn time per fill
Price - can be found for under $40 (currently $36.19 on sjdiscounttools.com)
Comfortable rubber grip

Cons:
Removable rubber stand falls off sometimes
Not pretty or "cool" - it looks like a torch

Summary:
All in all I'm very happy with the cost to performance ratio from this torch. If you're looking for a cheap reliable table top torch I would recommend you take a look at the Solder-It PT220 Table Torch.

That thing looks sweet!

I saw that lee valley has a torch for 14 bucks in their catalog underneath all the branding stuff.

I have another budget torch. The one I had at home was used for It's about $20 for the torch, and then the butane canisters become the body of the torch. It uses those same butane canisters that you use in those portable.

Here is a picture of one. You can pick these up at Smart and Final, and pick up three packs of the butane there cheap. They work great for lighting a cigar stand up on their own easily and the torch can be unscrewed from the body with ease. They aren't the prettiest but they get the job done well.
