When I first joined here I thought that the idea of having a cooler for smokes was a dumb idea. Well a month later here I am with a fully stocked humi and asking the question. Whats the full cost to set up a Cooler?

PS. I think you guys lie... It's not so much as a slope, more of a cliff.

Not to discourage you from beads but I use just one small water pillow($2.50) for my coolers and the stay 64-66%. :tu

When I stored troop smokes,I didn't use beads either. There was always a pillow or two to throw in.
You'd be amazed how rock solid a cooler is for storage :tu

Be sure you find a cooler with a perfect seal. I looked at about 8 smaller coolers the other day at WM as I needed some for bombing. None of them had what I considered to be an acceptable seal. If you can move the top when the cooler is closed, pass and look at more. Also avoid the ones with two piece lids, more seams means a greater possibility of leakage. :2

I have a 90qrt and that beotch is full along with my humis and I've only been a member since May...yeah...it's a free fall...:tu

I was thinking of a 70 quart. Would a pound of beads work for it?

Heartfelt says 1/3 lb. beads for every 50 Qts.

I have found Coleman's to have nice tight seals. My 150 Qt. is a Coleman marine cooler and it's awesome. My only advice is go big the first time or you may find yourself buying another cooler before you know it.

I know you are talking about long term storage, but I use a 6 pack cooler for travel to my BM. We also shop in town, so the small cooler is perfect. Also,I agree, look for one with a good seal. Walmart has gotten some stuff in that would never work for stogies.
