Incredible! I just received my Vector KGM Titanic Dual Torch Lighter. I thought it would be decent, a touch better than a BIC. WTF! I light a stogie with it, lights perfectly in about 4 seconds. No more struggling with a BIC in the wind for 15 minutes, then ending up ruining the cigar by charring the crap out of it. Easily the best purchase I've made in awhile. Only 2 problems noticed:
1) The lighter spews butane when filling it, not sure if this is normal
2) One flame is occaisionally bigger than the other. No idea why.

Other than that, very nice! Also, I had to manufacture a tool to purge it, so I found a pen with a round metal interior barrel, and cut it. Fits like a glove!

They will sputter butane when they're full, at least, that's my experience. How are you filling it? The recommended method is to purge it first (After it quits lighting, press the button until you no longer hear hissing of butane escaping, then turn it over, and with a ballpoint pen or something similar, press on the fill stem until all hissing stops (this is air escaping the gas chamber)), then, while holding it upside down, press the butane fill nozzle into it in short bursts of 3-5 seconds each, until it spews a little butane, this means it's full. Let it warm up before lighting, as cold butane won't ignite. Use only triple distilled or better butane, don't use that cheapy ronsonol stuff, it will foul your jets. Also, every 5 or so refills, if you want, take the compressed air for keyboards and blow the igniter/jets out, to clear any carbon buildup. I think I've touched on everything that I know... others will chime in with anything I missed, I'm sure. I love my triple torch, lights up cool colors, got it from my Secret Santa (THANK YOU SANTA!).

I'd have to agree, and add that my Burnz-O-Matic butane soldering torch is pretty handy on the larger ring gauges!

Funny how "art" sometimes precludes "function." NOT knocking the lighters! Just don't have the patience for another child!!!

I also agree. Frankly, I've never understood the fascination with all these expensive lighters. The Bics work fine. I'll spend my money on cigars.

I use the cheap ($10 or less) Nibo lighters. I'm outside a lot so these work great for me in the wind which matches or a bic lighter just piss me off when I"m trying to light that 54 rg cigar....:r

Not that I prefer cheap lighters, but I readily prefer a regular flame flint lighter over some turbo charged over the top jet lighter.

I find regular flame lighters easier to control, which allows for a more uniform burn. It also allows for a lower burning temperature during relights.

I'm not comfortable having a 2000 degree jet engine lighting my cigar.

I have a little Blazer that hasn't needed a bunch of maintenance like a Colibri.

I also get some comfort out of the idea that I might be able to cut myself out of a car crash before the jaws of life arrive.

Man, I love using a torch. Even my cheap $10.00 torch is a million times better than a bic.

The torch makes it very easy to correct a burn and toast the cigar evenly.

Same here. I bought a triple flame torch for $6 and it has lasted about 10 months and still going strong. I think I've gotten my money out of this one.:w
