Vinotemp Humidors????

Does anyone have any experience with these guys. I am considering a climate controlled model. They have one called the 700 FT that is both humidity and climate controlled and is rated to hold 6000 cigars. A limited capacity I realize, but aside from that..... Seriously though, my house does not have AC and the room that I keep my humidors in has windows that are not capable of taking a window AC. I have also considered moving my humidors down to the first floor quest room where I can put in a window AC. I would prefer to keep my cigars where they are and a climate controlled model could fit the bill. The last 2 summers have been very hot, and despite freezing my cigars I have been waging a beetle war. Info about Vinotemp would be appreciated. I have also checked out Bob Staebells model and the Vigilant, bith are a bit pricier. Any other ideas appreciated.

I have a cheaper solution for you. Box up all the habanos
that do not have a beetle problem and send them to me. I
will store then in my air conditioned house. I will send
you a picture of the cigar and a review of it after I have
smoked it.}> Ok, I know you might feel a little guilty
about me having to store all those cigars in my air conditioned
house so to relieve some of the guilt I will let you pay
half my electric bill, deal? Hey, where else are you gonna
get an offer like this?:7 :+

Have you given any thought to a large wine cooler? I have a 42 bottle Haier, it stays at 65/65 and stores around 50 boxes. They make them much larger than this also, I have seen them 6 feet tall and able to hold 150 boxes. The 42 ran about 400 with the climaxx beads and a circulation fan. Works perfect for me in Florida.

I believe I have seen where several folks have bought the big 6 foot wine cooler and converted them with good results. They coolers can be had for around 800 I think. Unless you want something fancier, I would go with a wine cooler.

I was looking at them a few years ago. They have/had one that was Shaker style with double glass doors and brass hardware that looked great. I spoke with them over the phone, and they seemed very customer focused. I will give them serious look when I'm ready to move up.

I remember seeing this also. The person that posted said the cooler came from Lowes Hardware. Also I did a little searching. Check out www.beveragefactory.com they list several on the main page. Also if that 6000 capacity is not enough I may have a new best friend !!

Visiting rights granted! We'll have some single malt and
Makers Mark wating for you!

Seriously, I have seen small and large wine fridges at
Best Buy. Sams Club has had them too.

Steve,

I got mine from the beveragefactory. Avanti 34 for a good price (~$300). Arrives w/o any problems and in a prompt manner. Did a good job for the time I was using it. It is my back up now.

TAK :)
