wife looking for humidor gift info

Hoping you all can offer a few suggestions.

I would like to get my husband a humidor for our 5 year anniversary in October and I want it to be a surprise - he has already suggested a Corona lighter as a possible gift.

I think he would need a small to medium sized humidor (something that would hold 50-75 cigars?). I'm willing to spend up to $200.

He currently stores his cigars in Mason jars and Ziploc containers.

TIA!

eta: we are limited in space and a vinotemp would not fit. Beautiful, classic wooden humidor would be preferred (for starters)

What a nice gesture! I was about to pull the trigger on this (and I've found that you always look for something larger than what you think you might need): http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Mercha...&Category_Code=GLASSHUMIDORS&Product_Count=11

However, I ended up buying a Vinotemp 28-bottle fridge as a lot of folks on here have done, preferring the unit's ability to control temperature and, after some slight modification, humidity as well. I'm in Los Angeles, where temperature control is an issue for me.

But if you're looking for something sentimental and classic, nothing beats a nice, wooden humidor. Check out www.cheaphumidors.com and there are a lot of other, nicer, humidors out there that are quite costly, yet beautiful. For example, I'm sure you can find something very nice for $200 that'll hold 75 sticks.

Happy hunting!

Hi Tia,
Check this out...this is the perfect thing for a guy into cigars.

It will keep the cigars at perfect conditions and plenty of room for future box purchases.

I think you should get him at least a 300 ct. The problem with the 75-100 is they are too easily outgrown even for the casual cigar smoker. You want this gift to be something he can use for a really long time.

My wife spent 80 on a 100ct from our local Cigar Shop(BM). For 200, you should be able to get definatly a nice 300ct.Good Luck.

I agree with the above.... 300 ct means maybe 220 - 240 sticks. For the amout you are willing to spend there are a bunch in that size. If you look at Taboo Cigars and use a coupon on this forum you could even save a few bucks.
