Just an "FYI" for those of you who've recently ordered sets of Henry's Cigar Tools... Please don't worry. Your sets will be on the way!
He was hospitalized (again) on Friday for what they called a "routine procedure." He was pissed off.
We visited him yesterday, thinking that we'd be able to drive him home, back to the lake, and back to his beloved work shed.
Guess I'll just say what Henry said here:
"Hospitals ain't like hotels... The food is crappy... The room service is crappy... And as long as you got insurance, they ain't going to give you and early check-out!!!"
Anyway... Henry will be back sometime this morning. And he will be in topp fighting condition!
'Nough said for now.

That old fart sure is a character. I sure wish I could herf with him someday. You ever take a pic of you two on your two man herfs?

Henry sometimes embarrasses me, not to mention others who might be in his immediate proximity.
I took the morning off work to pick him up when he was discharged from the "In-Hospitable" (as he calls it).
As he's being wheeled out, he smirks up at the nurse, ands says (sic), "You know, sweetheart? You got some great boobs, and a beautiful ass! The problem is your ATTITUDE! Lighten it up a little, honey, and I just may come back for another visit!"
AHH WELL... What can you say under such circumstances?
Henry's home, on the porch, "Junker" at his side. He signed a couple of Certificates for the cigar tools, tilted back in his chair, and asked me to come back down in 5-6 hours with a tub of Cindi's home-made corn chowder, and a couple of nice cigars.
"I'll kick in a couple of beers and a shot of JB," he said. "Then maybe we'll go out for a little fishin'!"
Somehow, Henry seems always to find the brighter side of life. Most often, it's just the SIMPLE pleasures. Guess I'll be back down at the lake for some fishing tonight!

Henry finished up a couple of sets of the Heritage tools today... We did some fishing, but didn't catch much.
We had a cigar on the porch... And Henry told me something I know I won't soon forget:
"The days are growing shorter as summer slams the door shut... Let's just enjoy the cool evenings, the warm soups, and friendship. PERIOD!!"
I hate the old bastard... But I love him.
