So, I was on my way home from school and listening to Erik Kusileas do the shift that was formerly Dan Patrick's on ESPN radio. He was fuming because his wife was supposed to send in his check for the complete package of Boston Red Sox post season tickets. Apparently she forgot and its now too late. So I pondered what I would say if it would happen to me and decided there is no good answer. What would you do?

Kiss her because if she had sent the money in, I would have wasted money on a team I don't like!! :D

I'd think a guy taking Dan Patrick's place would be able to swing some press credentials for any game he would want to attend.

And if he values his happiness, he'd better be pretty circumspect about what he says about his wife on the radio. If a ticket foul-up is making his life difficult...

I've probably - check that - definitely screwed up worse than that. I'd be pissed, but also would understand it wasn't intentional. It's only baseball tickets.

He probably already has tix and this made for good radio.

She messed up. . . in the grand scheme of things it's no big deal. I might be upset initially, but after that, I'd forget about it. The money would likely be better spent elsewhere. But that's just me.

I never let my wife handle sports stuff (tix, directtv packages, etc.); I get too upset if there are foul ups!

Why didn't he just send the check for the tickets himself ?

As something as important as post season tickets there would be no way in hell I would trust anyone, my wife included, to send in the money but me, myself, and I. I think the old adage goes, "If you want something done right, do it yourself."

However, I'm a Brewers fan so I dont understand the term "post season," the only post season we've had in 25 years is hockey and football!
