I was alone tonight when realized that instead of sitting on my bum i should go out and have a stogie. My Father had bought cigars for my sister's wedding but we were unable to smoke them. Its a Saint Luis Rey, it was far better than the Cuban version of the Romeo Y Julieta I had in the BVI.
Its was a wonderful night outside of starbucks while I read the Pale Horseman by Bernard Cornwell, smoking my cigar. Not to mention the part when a 70 or so old man about 70 or so with a christy cap and cane walked pass and said "Smells like a good cigar young man." I smile and replied "Indeed it is sir, indeed it is."

I often enjoy the random conversations when in these type of situations.

Love those kind of stories. Good to know there are still people out there that appreciate a fine smoke.
A few months ago, my new niece was in the hospital. My wife's sister and husband had just adopted her so the docs wanted to be real careful and run every test in the book. The wife and I were keeping them company, and I needed to go for a walk. Had a Special G with me.
As I was walking around, I ran into another cigar smoker...who would have thought? Compared notes on our smokes. Really helped ease the stress of the day.
Baby came home the next day, with a little pneumonia, but she's just fine.
As always, cigar smokers are some of the finest people you'll ever meet.

I've found that 50% of what makes a cigar great is the atmosphere in which you enjoy it. :tu
